Thailand by UTMB®, the trail running event, family member of Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc – UTMB “Olympic” of all trail runners and an event of Ultra Trail World Tour.

Thailand by UTMB® course based around the highest mountain of Thailand, Doi Inthanon, also known as the roof of Thailand. The route showcases the local biodiversity and the forest changes with the gradual climb elevation from 400 to 2100 meters above sea level. The journey will take runners to experience the peaceful Hmong, and Pga-Gan-Yaw, Karenic tribe ways of life, the awe-inspiring views of terrace paddy field, where the entire area is brightened by golden ears of rice, as well as the picturesque montane farms.

Starts from Doi Inthanon National Park HQ, in semi-autonomy, each race takes place in one single stage, at an undefined pace within a time limit.

The Inthanon 6: around 168.8 km for about 8,660 metres of height gain, in 48 hours max. (Prerequisite: 4 ITRA points from 1 race; Finisher points: 6 ITRA points)
The Inthanon 5: around 110.2 km for about 5,480 metres of height gain, in 30 hours max. (Prerequisite: 3 ITRA points from 1 race; Finisher points: 5 ITRA points)
The Inthanon 3: around 54 km for about 2,800 metres of height gain, in 14 hours max. (Prerequisite: 1 ITRA points from 1 race; Finisher points: 3 ITRA points)
The Inthanon 1: around 23.6 km for about 860 metres of height gain, in 7 hours max. (Finisher points: 1 ITRA point)
The Inthanon 10K: around 14 km for about 710 metres of height gain, in 5 hours max. (no ITRA point) The Sports Authority of Thailand is the owner, and organizer of Thailand by UTMB®. The race is co-organized by Running Connect with the assistance of UTMB® International.
